Fall Day Tour in the County

Fall is the perfect time of year to enjoy all that Prince Edward County has to offer.  On a lazy Sunday afternoon my favourite thing to do is grab my beau, Eric, my fall jacket and boots and head to some local wineries.  On this particular day we headed towards the Wellington area to check out some local hot spots.

First Stop: WINE

After driving through the beautiful fall landscapes and foliage we found ourselves sitting outside on the patio at Hinterland Winery.  Bellini in hand and a flight of sparkling wine sitting in front of Eric across the table, we were having a great start to our day.  This is the place to go for your fix of sparkling wine.  Not only that, they have a family friendly set up and a fire to warm up beside if it is on the chilly side.

Second Stop: GRUB

Next on the docket… La Condesa! La Condesa opened its doors in Wellington earlier this year and we couldn’t be happier for the new addition to the area! AMAZING food.. I am talking mouthwatering Mexican food and a special cocktail list that will knock your socks off.  We had a little bit of everything on this particular visit, including a variety of tacos and some enchiladas.  As always our entire experience was perfect from start to finish! We are counting down the days to get back out there for some more.

Third and Final Stop: More Wine…

On our way home we decided to make one last stop at Closson Chase Vineyards.  This one is hard to miss if you find yourself driving down Closson Road, it is the stunning purple barn!  Our server was a dream, the wine was delicious and the view of the vineyard was breathtaking.

With another fulfilling day under our belt we made the drive home!  It is hard to have a bad day when you find yourself exploring all that the County has to offer.  We are so blessed to live in this area.  Bottom line… do not underestimate the beauty of the County in the fall. The offerings this time of year are abundant and quite frankly, magical!

Don't forget the best way to enjoy a tour of the County is with our featured fall collection.

(PS. This outing took place pre-snow, but is equally enjoyable with snow on the ground!)
